About The Role
Waldon Telecom, a part of M Group Services Telecoms Division, is an essential infrastructure services provider to the mobile telecommunication sector in the UK. We work on behalf of large mobile network operators to acquire, design, and construct mobile telecommunication base stations across the country.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for DICI Field Engineers to be part of our Deliver, Install, Commission & Integrate (DICI) Deployment team across the South East, South West, North East and North West of the country.
What will you be doing?
As aDICI Field Engineer, you will carry out the installation and commissioning activities across multiple mobile telecom vendor equipment - VF, 3UK, VMO2, EE.
These roles fit within Waldon Telecom'sOperations Department,and you will work collaboratively with theProject and Logistic teams.
You will be required to work Monday to Friday08:00 - 17:00with potential weekend working requirements. This a UK wide role with requirement to travel, so there will be occasions where you will be asked to work away from home, and you will need a full driving licence.
Whatwill your key responsibilities be?
- Preparation and termination of radio frequency (RF) feeder, electrical (DC), fibre cables.
- Equipment installation and commissioning across various projects and technologies.
- Wiring and connection of DC power to telecoms equipment to required standards and regulations.
- Planned preventative maintenance.
- Performing industry standard testing as required on telecoms and antenna systems e.g. radio frequency (RF) sweeps, ethernet and network testing.
- Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) creation and work area/vehicle management.
- Completion of site surveys to enable installation.
- Understand our customers needs and work to meet our contractual obligations.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel UK Wide.
- Highly enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Excellent I.T. skills: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build positive relationships.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet key deadlines, whilst maintaining a customer focused ethos.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment to achieve programme targets.
- Certification in Manual Handling, IOSH/risk assessment, Radio Frequency (RF) Awareness, Rooftop access, Asbestos Awareness, First Aid, First Aid at Height, NRSWA Unit 2 advantageous.
- Vendor Certification; Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei advantageous. Training will be provided.
